A LITTLE HELP

What are you seeing?

Choose the symptom below. Don't factory-reset or flash firmware just to retry setup.

The setup page won't open

Stay on GlycoFox-Setup. In Safari or Chrome, type http://192.168.4.1.

“No internet” is expected. A repeated disconnect before saving is not. Keep power connected and confirm your phone has not switched networks.

If a VPN blocks local access, temporarily disconnect it and restore it after setup. Do not disable browser security globally.

It disconnects after I save Wi-Fi

After a successful save, the restart is expected. Return your phone to home Wi-Fi and use the new address on the display.

If GlycoFox-Setup returns, check the network name, password, 2.4 GHz support, and signal. If the local page is blocked on home Wi-Fi, check for guest-network isolation. Do not turn off network security.

It's asking for a username and password

Use the device owner login, not Dexcom. If you just created it, signing in again is normal.

For first-time setup, create it under System after connecting to home Wi-Fi. Some upgraded devices show a generated login on the screen briefly at boot; use it only if your device shows one.

Reset warning: “Replace forgotten login” / “Reset settings and save login” erases Dexcom and every non-WiFi setting while keeping home Wi-Fi. Do not use this just to sign in.

New passwords need 8–63 printable characters and matching confirmation. Owner-login walkthrough.

No reading, old reading, or repeated waiting

Login failed: check the sharing account and region. If temporarily blocked, wait at least 15 minutes; don’t keep resubmitting.

Success but no data: confirm Share is enabled and the official app has uploaded a reading.

Waiting for time or memory: keep power and Wi-Fi connected and allow the retry. If it repeats, record the error and ask your device supplier. Repeated waiting is not confirmed success.

Stale: check your official CGM app. GlycoFox and Share can be delayed.

Black screen, or the fox won't sleep

If settings still open, check ordinary brightness and Night brightness. At 0%, the screen is intentionally off.

Check timezone, From/To hours, clock sync, and the separate Sleeping fox at night setting. Urgent low stays awake.

If neither screen nor settings responds, check USB power. Do not interrupt a firmware upload. A persistent black screen needs device-specific diagnosis—not an unverified flash.

Display walkthrough

Still stuck? Ask your device supplier. Share the last successful step and exact error text—not passwords or settings exports. Hide names and readings in screenshots.

GlycoFox is a secondary, non-medical display. It must not be used for treatment decisions or as a replacement for official CGM alerts. Illustrations are examples; labels may vary with firmware or phone version.
